Our Listings for “That Little Bit Extra”

Here are some opportunities to help our Philanthropy Partners outside of our usual volunteer and donation outreach as well as other community organizations in need.
These opportunities are open to anyone, not just our members.
These volunteer hours or donations can NOT be counted for philanthropy or donation hours on the leagues website.

On Your Mark… Get Set… GO!

Come one, come all for the 16th annual Run for Ryan House 5K. We invite you to get outside and assist in our mission to continue to provide world-class care and programs for the medically fragile children and families we serve as they navigate life-limiting or end-of-life journeys.

As a health care organization who cares for some of Arizona’s most medically fragile children and due to the quickly changing nature of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have decided to hold this year’s Run for Ryan House virtually.

What is a Virtual Run – You Ask?

Virtual runs happen on your own schedule. If you decide to sign up for our virtual Run for Ryan House, you simply record your time as you run or walk in your neighborhood, on a treadmill, or in a park any time during our race period, November 15th - 22nd.

Who Can Run in a Virtual Race?

Anyone! One of the great things about virtual races is that they allow for participation from different parts of the country and anywhere in the world. All levels of runners are encouraged to sign up because participants can choose to walk or run.

OCJ Kids

Here is an opportunity for you to help OCJ Kids in an additional way! The Case Workers work really hard assisting and advocating for the foster kids. They would like to bless each of them with a small gift bag around the holidays including a $15-25 gift card. There are 500 case workers in the region. But anything we can do to help OCJ  would greatly appreciate it!

Please make your donation up till October 31!

You can donate directly on their website and put in the subject line “Gift Cards” to note what that is what you would like your funds to go to.

Thanks for your help & good hearts! Information below.

ICM continues to provide food and basic needs to our community.  In the past two weeks we have seen our clothing room close, many volunteers having to stay home and food supplies dwindle so low we were afraid we would have to close.   It's a difficult time for everyone, but especially those who need groceries, have lost a job or hours and cannot keep up with their family's needs right now.  This past Tuesday, we served more than 800 people in one day.   Many people visited us for the first time. You can help, here's how: donate, shop for one extra item this week and support us by giving your annual Arizona Charitable Tax Credit.    By donating, we are able to purchase food at discounted rates from our suppliers and keep our doors open. Monetary donations are needed at this time, as we continue to keep services in operation, modify how we serve and prepare for the need that is coming. We know that the need will significantly increase in the coming weeks and months as families cope with income disruption and require rent and utility assistance, additional food support, etc., to help us prevent additional homelessness in our community. With your help, we will do everything in our power to continue to meet the needs of neighbors in our community. You can donate here:

For more information about projects you may be able to do on your own or within your family, please reach out to Shawn Donnelly, or 602.850.6942.
